We’re representing a leading global construction consultancy that delivers some of the most technically advanced and large-scale projects across Europe. They’re now seeking an experienced Senior Construction Risk & Change Manager to join their growing team on a high-profile hyperscale Data Centre project in Belgium.

This is a career-defining opportunity for a professional who thrives in a technically challenging environment and wants to work at the forefront of major infrastructure delivery. The successful Senior Construction Risk & Change Manager will play a critical role in ensuring project success by managing complex change and risk processes across all project stages.

The Role

As the Senior Construction Risk & Change Manager, you will oversee both risk management (30%) and change management (70%) activities for one of Europe’s most demanding construction projects. Working closely with client stakeholders, consultants, and subject matter experts, you’ll be responsible for leading the end-to-end management of Early Warning Notifications (EWNs), risk tracking, and change control documentation.

This is a visible and influential position, ideal for someone who combines strong analytical skills with strategic communication and leadership ability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and track all Early Warning Notifications (EWNs), Risk Management, and Change Management processes.

  • Chair and facilitate regular EWN, Risk, and Change meetings with project stakeholders and technical leads.

  • Escalate submissions that breach agreed thresholds and ensure appropriate resolution.

  • Maintain clear and consistent communication with all parties regarding change orders and risk exposure.

  • Oversee the client’s database to ensure accuracy, completeness, and clarity of change and risk records.

  • Use facilitation best practices to engage risk owners, develop realistic impact assessments, and quantify mitigation measures.

  • Conduct stress-test scenarios on extreme risk events and present findings to senior leadership.

  • Prepare comprehensive monthly reports on project risk and change status for inclusion in client updates.

  • Manage and report on the contingency budget, ensuring clear documentation of approvals and drawdowns.

About You

The ideal Senior Construction Risk & Change Manager will be an analytical, detail-driven professional with a track record of managing large, complex construction projects. You’ll have strong technical knowledge combined with the ability to engage effectively with multidisciplinary teams.

You’ll bring:

  • A degree (or equivalent experience) in a relevant discipline with a focus on Risk and Change Management.

  • Proven experience on major construction or infrastructure projects, ideally within mission-critical environments.

  • Proficiency in risk management tools such as Safran Risk, Primavera Risk Analysis, or @Risk, and familiarity with ARM, Xactium, or RiskPredict.

  • Working knowledge of ISO 31000, COSO, AACE, or PMI risk management frameworks.

  • Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Strong analytical and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously.

  • Eligibility to work in Belgium and a willingness to be based near Farciennes or Charleroi.
