Our client is a leading global consultancy delivering complex infrastructure and engineering projects across sectors including transportation, water, and major civil engineering. They work on some of the most exciting and prestigious projects around the world and are committed to creating a faster, smarter and safer future through sustainable and innovative project delivery.

Due to continued growth and an expanding project pipeline, they are looking to appoint a Quantity Surveyor to join their Complex Projects team.

Role Overview
As a Quantity Surveyor, you will support the commercial management of infrastructure projects, working closely with clients, project managers, contractors and internal teams to ensure successful project delivery. You will be involved in cost management, procurement, contract administration and financial reporting while helping ensure projects are delivered efficiently and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively within the client team and liaise with leadership, project managers, contractors and internal stakeholders

  • Monitor and control project costs to ensure delivery within budget

  • Validate and manage contractor and supplier costs and payment applications

  • Produce regular financial and commercial reports for project teams and clients

  • Support procurement activities including contractor evaluation and appointment

  • Administer contracts ensuring compliance with contractual terms and conditions

  • Manage contract changes including reviewing quotations and ensuring timely agreement

  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive project records in collaboration with the Project Manager

  • Identify and mitigate commercial risks while supporting value engineering initiatives

Key Requirements

  • BSc in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline

  • Experience undertaking pre and post contract quantity surveying duties

  • Experience working with NEC4, FIDIC or ICHEME contracts

  • Understanding of methods of measurement such as CESMM4 or MMHW

  • Experience working on civil infrastructure projects (Highways, Water or Rail desirable but not essential)

  • Working towards membership with RICS or another recognised professional body
