A well-established main contractor specialising in residential projects is looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a supportive management team in a business with a strong history of promoting from within – several current directors started their careers in Quantity Surveying.
The Role
You will be responsible for the commercial management of multiple residential construction projects, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will work closely with project managers and site teams to manage costs, contracts, and subcontractors.
Key Responsibilities

Preparing detailed cost plans, budgets, and valuations for residential developments.

Procurement and management of subcontractors and suppliers.

Assessing and pricing variations and final accounts.

Monitoring and controlling project costs to ensure profitability.

Maintaining excellent client and stakeholder relationships.
Skills & Experience

Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within residential construction, ideally including affordable housing projects.

Strong knowledge of construction contracts and commercial processes.

Excellent communication, negotiation, and IT skills.

High attention to detail and ability to work independently.
