Senior Engineer – Railway Bridge Planning (m/f/d)
Locations: Hamburg, Berlin, Düsseldorf, or Munich

Role Overview

As a Senior Engineer specializing in railway bridge design, you'll lead and support projects through all planning stages. You’ll play a key role in expanding the engineering capabilities of our “Bridges and Structures” team in one of our offices in Hamburg, Berlin, Düsseldorf, or Munich, particularly focusing on large-scale rail infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take full ownership of bridge-related rail projects, from initial concept to final implementation

  • Develop detailed plans for railway bridges and other structural components within the transportation sector

  • Manage all design phases, including feasibility, schematic, detailed, and execution planning

  • Support the tendering process, from documentation to selection

  • Lead coordination among project teams and external collaborators

  • Uphold timelines, budget targets, and high technical standards across all project deliverables

Qualifications and Skills

  • Degree in civil or structural engineering (M.Eng., M.Sc., Dipl.-Ing., Dr.-Ing.)

  • Minimum of 7 years’ experience in bridge design for rail infrastructure

  • At least 2 years’ experience managing complex engineering projects

  • Expertise in steel, concrete, and composite structural systems

  • Experience using BIM for project coordination is an advantage

  • Proficient in German (written and spoken)

  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, with a proactive and professional demeanor
