Project Manager - Railway Civils

Location: Sheffield plus site travel.

Salary: £55,000 - £62,000 plus

Project Manager Summary

A Tier One Principal Contractor, operating throughout England and Wales, delivering multi-disciplinary buildings and civil engineering projects for Network Rail and other infrastructure clients has an excellent opportunity for a Project Manager who will take on the responsibility of managing a diverse range of day-to-day project tasks within an asset management and maintenance framework.

This role will focus primarily on civils asset management projects, on Civils Eastern CAM framework, based from our office in Sheffield.

Work includes a range of projects such as structural steel & brick work repairs, bridgeworks, embankment stabilisation, culvert renewal, culvert lining and drainage renewals.

Project Manager Candidate Specification

Essential:

  • Railway Safety Training - PTS
  • Continued professional development courses as appropriate - SMSTS - MAPM - NVQ 6/7 - NEBOSH - Temporary Works Co-Ordinator
  • Demonstrable line management experience and skills
  • Experience acting as CRE
  • Demonstratable client management and reporting experience
  • Demonstratable Programme Management experience
  • Demonstratable commercial experience
  • Appreciation of Network Rail design process
  • Experience of reactive Works Delivery Frameworks and delivery of mid-range projects (£250 - £600k)
  • Civil Engineering Construction work, ideally in a railway environment

Desirable

  • COSS/IWA
  • NEC 4 contract experience
