Job Title: Project Manager

Location: Crewe

Salary / Benefits: £50,000 to £70,000 plus company car, overtime and benefits package

Company Information:
My client are leading Tier 1 Contractor working on major rail projects across the UK.

To be suitable for the position you must have:
- A strong background in project management and managing operational delivery successfully within a construction environment
- Experience communicating requirements, outcomes and implementing systems improvements
- Ability to encourage and manage direct reports to achieve the desired outcome and key messages are cascaded
- CSCS Card and SMSTS qualified; must be willing to become First Aid qualified
- Commercial understanding, setting and successfully management targets within budget
- Experience producing programmes to proactively track progress
- Able to identify elements for cost recovery from others and guide team members in maintaining project records
- Good understanding of the standard forms of contracts

Role Information.
- You will have the overall responsibility of successful completion of your designated sector of works/project
- Responsible for all elements of Health & Safety for the general public, staff and supply chain under the strict observance of the safety policy and in conjunction with local HSE
- Carry out periodic Safety & Environment Tours as required by the Project H & S Plan
- Manage sub-contractors, including monitoring of contractor attendance and progress, providing direct instruction and support as necessary, such that contractual arrangements are achieved
- Produce and regularly review the project programme to ensure completion on time under the supervision of a Project Manager
- Ensure that detailed plans are available commensurate with the overall project plan, such that material/resources/supply chain can be delivered to meet scheduled deadlines
- Maintain targets and KPI's in line with Project objectives and monitor performance
- Carry out constructive analysis of fully resourced programme and report findings
- Manage sub-contractor performance based on KPI's
