About the Role
As a Project Engineer, you'll take ownership of mechanical building services design and delivery from concept through to completion. Acting as a Project Leader on multi-disciplinary projects, you'll ensure engineering excellence, quality outcomes, and strong client relationships.
You'll work across sectors such as Commercial (Shell & Core and Fit-Outs), Data Centres, Hotels, Retail, Residential, and Mixed-Use Developments, providing a variety of challenges and opportunities to grow.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the delivery of mechanical engineering design and coordination on multiple projects.
- Represent the business as the Project Engineer at design and client meetings.
- Oversee project delivery from design through construction, ensuring high-quality outcomes.
- Coordinate mechanical designs with other disciplines and external consultants.
- Manage project resourcing, budgets, and schedules.
- Mentor junior engineers and develop the team's technical capability.
- Uphold company standards, quality assurance, and client satisfaction.
About You
You'll thrive in this Project Engineer role if you bring:
- A degree in Mechanical Engineering (or related discipline).
- 5-10 years of experience in mechanical building services design.
- Proven background in delivering commercial office projects.
- Strong understanding of relevant Standards and RIBA design stages.
- Experience leading multi-disciplinary project teams and managing budgets.
- Excellent communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills.
- Initiative, technical confidence, and the ability to work autonomously.
- Familiarity with electrical, fire protection, and public health systems (advantageous).
