We are currently working with a growing construction company who are looking to appoint an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their expanding commercial team based in Shropshire.

The Role:
Key responsibilities will include:

Assisting with the preparation of accurate tender quotations
-
Carrying out measures for tender and live projects
-
Supporting procurement of plant, materials, and subcontract services
-
Assisting with monthly cost reports and valuations
-
Supporting subcontractor payments
-
Pricing variations and changes on live projects
-
Assisting with the preparation of final accounts
-
Helping to identify cost-saving opportunities
-
Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and internal teams.
About You
This role would suit someone at an early stage of their career who is keen to learn and develop within a commercial construction environment.
The ideal candidate will have:

A-Level's / Equivalent
-
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
-
A genuine interest in Quantity Surveying and Estimating
-
Strong numerical and analytical skills
-
Good communication skills,
-
A proactive, and 'can do' attitude
-
It would be an advantage if the candidate had knowledge or experience of drylining, or plastering.
