Job Title: Assistant Quantity Surveyor
Location: Maidstone, Kent (with travel to sites)
Salary: up to £45,000 plus benefits

Company Overview:
Our client is a growing construction company delivering projects across the UK, with a strong pipeline of work and continued expansion. Due to this growth, an exciting opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team and support the successful delivery of projects.
In this role, you will support the commercial management of projects, helping to ensure they are delivered on time and within budget. You will work closely with senior members of the commercial team, site teams, and subcontractors while gaining hands-on experience across a variety of projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist with cost management and commercial reporting across construction projects.

Support the preparation of subcontractor packages and procurement processes.

Assist with valuations, variations, and final accounts.

Monitor project costs and help identify potential risks or cost changes.

Liaise with site teams and subcontractors to support project delivery.

Maintain accurate commercial documentation and records.
The ideal Quantity Surveyor

Our client would consider an Assistant Quantity Surveyor from either of the following two paths
-
A recent graduate with circa 12 months experience

Or a Trainee/Assistant Quantity Surveyor with up to 5 years of relevant industry experience (with no degree)

Strong communication skills and confidence when working with subcontractors.

Knowledge of construction contracts, procurement processes, and cost control procedures.

A proactive and enthusiastic approach to work.

Ability to work collaboratively within a growing team environment.

Willingness to travel to sites when required.
