Job Title: Quantity Surveyor
Location: Derby
Salary: £40,000 (negotiable depending on experience) – generous company benefits on offer
A fantastic opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor has arisen within a highly reputable Civil Engineering and Building contractor to work on various power and energy projects nationwide.
A Quantity Surveyor is required to join the team in the Derby Headquarters due to their growing capability. You will be required to work from the office initially and a hybrid working pattern is available later down the line.
Key responsibilities for this Quantity Surveyor role:
• Required to travel to sites nationwide
• Responsible for preparing tenders
• Responsible for monitoring the financial performance of all contracts allocated
• Responsible for submitting monthly valuations
• Responsible for negotiating and placing orders with sub-contractors
• Responsible for evaluating and making payment
Experience required for this Quantity Surveyor role:
• BSc in Quantity Surveying or equivalent
• Experience working on NEC3 contracts (options A and B), JCT and ICE
• Holds measurement experience CESMM and ‘builders quants’
• Knowledge and experience of subcontract procurement, variations/estimations, valuations, claims and disputes, CVRs
• Experience using programmes on MS Project
Package offered for this Quantity Surveyor role:
• £40,000 (negotiable depending on experience)
• Company car or car allowance
