Location: Ripon, North East

Salary: £28,000 – £35,000 + Benefits

About the Role

As a Utility Surveyor you will be responsible for carrying out utility detection surveys using advanced GPR and EML technologies. You will also support other survey disciplines such as topographic surveys, laser scanning and monitoring, giving you variety and scope to broaden your experience. The role involves working both independently and as part of a team, ensuring projects are delivered accurately, safely, and on time.


The key requirements for this Utility Surveyor role are:

  • Undertake utility surveys across a range of environments using GPR and EML equipment

  • Support the delivery of topographic, monitoring and laser scanning surveys where required

  • Manage and assist teams on-site to ensure project delivery objectives are met

  • Maintain survey equipment to a high standard

  • Work to company policies, procedures and best practice


Experience required for this Utility Surveyor role are:

  • QCF3 or QCF5 qualification desirable (not essential)

  • Proficiency in GPR and EML survey methods

  • Good understanding of PAS128 standards

  • Ability to interpret and analyse asset owner records and drawings

  • Valid CSCS card

  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel nationwide

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills


Desirable knowledge, skills and experience for this Utility Surveyor role are:

  • Knowledge of land surveying techniques

  • Previous experience with multidisciplinary survey projects

  • Strong work ethic and drive for professional development
