The Technical Coordinator Role:
A respected, design-led housebuilder based in South Yorkshire is seeking a Technical Coordinator with an engineering bias to join their small, collaborative team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys being hands-on and wants to play a key role in delivering bespoke residential developments from early design through to completion.

You will work closely with the Technical Manager and Head of Technical, overseeing engineering aspects of multiple sites, ensuring they are well-designed, cost-effective and buildable. This role would suit an experienced Development Engineer or Engineer looking to step into a Technical Coordinator position while still staying close to the engineering side of the work.

Key Responsibilities of the Technical Coordinator:
Coordinate all engineering-related aspects of new and live sites
Manage Section 38, 104, and 278 agreements, including adoption processes
Review and approve engineering drawings, drainage designs, and levels
Liaise with local authorities, consultants, and utility providers to secure technical approvals
Provide engineering support to site teams, resolving issues promptly to keep projects on track
Contribute to value engineering exercises and ensure cost-effective solutions are implemented

Candidate Requirements:
Previous experience as a Development Engineer, Civil Engineer or Technical Coordinator with strong engineering exposure
Solid understanding of section agreements, drainage, levels and services coordination
Ability to work independently within a smaller team environment
Strong communication skills and a practical, solution-focused mindset
Experience in residential development or housebuilding (essential)
