The Technical Coordinator Role
We are seeking a Technical Coordinator to join a reputable regional housebuilder based in South Yorkshire. This role is well-suited to someone with a background in house building with a strong understanding of engineering and technical processes from planning through to site delivery.
Working as part of an established technical team, you will be responsible for coordinating the production and approval of technical information, managing external consultants and supporting the smooth delivery of housing developments across the region.
The successful candidate will have experience across both pre-construction and construction phases, with a focus on ensuring all technical elements are delivered efficiently and in line with current regulations and standards.
Responsibilities of the Technical Coordinator:
- Support the preparation and submission of planning applications
- Manage Building Regulation approvals and technical reports
- Coordinate and review architectural and engineering design work
- Oversee Section Agreements including S38, S104, and S278
- Liaise with external consultants, utility providers and local authorities
- Provide technical input into land appraisals and site feasibility studies
- Resolve site-specific technical issues in collaboration with build teams
- Ensure all technical information complies with NHBC and Building Regulations
Key Skills & Experience required:
- Experience as a Technical Coordinator, Engineer, or similar within housebuilding
- Ability to review technical drawings and manage consultant outputs
- Familiarity with AutoCAD (Revit also advantageous)
- Ability to manage multiple sites and technical packages simultaneously
