My client is a well-established developer operating out of The Hamilton Area. They have projects across the Hamilton Area, Greater London Area, as well as the Kitchener, waterloo, Cambridge Area.
With a proven track record of delivering high-quality developments, our client is dedicated to developing vibrant communities that enhance the lives of their residents. They are looking for seasoned site superintendents to join their Low – Mid Rise Division, and ensure successful completion of the project.
Responsibilities of the site superintendent:
- The site superintendent will oversee and manage the day-to-day on-site operations of one of two projects they have underway - a subdivision development projects with single detached houses as well as a townhome project
- The site superintendent will collaborate with the project manager and construction team to ensure project objectives are met without compromising quality and safety standards.
- Coordinate and supervise all trades, subcontractors, and vendors involved in the construction process, fostering strong relationships to facilitate efficient workflows.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, ensure compliance with building codes and regulations, and promptly address any issues or challenges that may arise.
- The site superintendent will Implement and maintain strict safety protocols to create a secure work environment for all on-site personnel.
- The site superintendent will efficiently manage the delivery of materials and equipment to meet construction schedules while optimizing resource utilization.
- Keep detailed records of project milestones, daily activities, and site progress reports to ensure accurate reporting to the project manager and stakeholders.
- Address and resolve any conflicts, delays, or discrepancies that could impact the project's timeline or quality.
Qualifications of this site superintendent:
- A minimum of 10 years of proven experience as a Site Superintendent in the low rise residential construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of construction practices, building codes, and regulations Exceptional leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and guide on-site teams and subcontractors effectively.
- Demonstrated track record of successfully managing and delivering low rise residential projects on time and within budget.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and an eye for detail, ensuring that all work meets high-quality standards.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively liaise with the construction team, stakeholders, and authorities.
- A commitment to maintaining a safe working environment and promoting a safety-first culture on the construction site.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
