Site Manager | Wexford

We are in search of a qualified Site Manager to join a well-established contracting firm in Wexford. Candidates must have prior experience in overseeing significant commercial or residential projects. The current project involves the construction of 35 buildings dedicated to various import and export operations, complemented by approximately 120,000 square meters of concrete trailer parking space. This role entails collaborating with the Office of Public Works over the next 30 months to ensure the successful execution of the project.

Key Responsibilities for the Site Manager Role:

  • Manage resources, on-site activities, and overall site operations to achieve short-term project targets.
  • Attend meetings with clients and subcontractors, representing the company and fostering positive working relationships.
  • Create accurate and professional records, reports, and general information.
  • Act as an on-site representative, facilitating communication between the business and the client.
  • Participate in audit meetings to support and ensure on-site objectives are planned and achieved.
  • Complete external works in accordance with the project schedule.
  • Assist the project team with technical requirements.
  • Manage the purchasing and on-site delivery procedures of the supply chain.

Key Requirements

  • Relevant degree in engineering or construction management.
  • 4+ years of experience in a site management position.
  • Previous experience in civils, preferably on large-scale residential or commercial projects.
  • Crucial knowledge of the technical and practical aspects of the building industry.
  • Ability to work independently and strong team-building skills.
