SENIOR QUANTITY SURVEYOR NEEDED

A leading construction contractor is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join its growing commercial team as part of a significant expansion within its build division.
With a strong pipeline of secured work and several major schemes in pre-construction, the business is continuing to grow its presence across infrastructure and specialist construction projects.
Upcoming developments include airport works, reservoir infrastructure and complex build projects, offering exposure to technically interesting schemes and long-term project stability.
The Role
The Senior Quantity Surveyor will take responsibility for the commercial management of projects, working closely with operational, design and commercial teams to ensure strong financial performance and project delivery.
Key responsibilities include:

Managing project cost control and commercial reporting

Procurement and management of subcontractor packages

Managing variations and change control
-
Supporting project delivery teams to maintain programme and budget alignment

Ensuring contractual compliance across project delivery
-
Contributing to project financial forecasting and reporting
Requirements

Experience operating as a Senior Quantity Surveyor or experienced QS
-
Strong JCT contract knowledge (essential)

Exposure to NEC contracts

Experience working within contractor environments
-
Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary project teams

Ideally based within Hertfordshire or surrounding areas
