About the Role
This role sits within a complex infrastructure team delivering commercial support across major projects in the North East and Yorkshire region.
You will play a key role in managing the commercial performance of infrastructure schemes across sectors such as rail, highways, utilities, defence, energy and aviation. The position involves overseeing cost management, contract administration and stakeholder coordination throughout the project lifecycle.
You will also contribute to team leadership by supporting and mentoring colleagues while maintaining strong relationships with clients and delivery partners.
The key requirements for this Senior Quantity Surveyor role are:
- Prepare and manage project cost estimates and budgets
- Monitor and forecast project costs and commercial performance
- Produce financial and commercial reports for clients and stakeholders
- Liaise with clients, contractors and project teams to support delivery
- Manage and administer construction contracts
- Review and manage contract changes in line with project requirements
- Provide commercial advice and guidance to project stakeholders
- Support and mentor team members within the commercial team
Experience required for this Senior Quantity Surveyor role are:
- Proven experience in quantity surveying and commercial management within major infrastructure projects
- Strong experience working with NEC contracts
- Experience managing commercial performance across project lifecycles
- Experience working within sectors such as rail, highways, utilities, defence, energy or aviation
Desirable knowledge, skills and experience for this Senior Quantity Surveyor role are:
- Professional accreditation such as RICS or CICES
- Relevant qualifications in quantity surveying, commercial management or a related discipline
