Our client is a leading global consultancy delivering complex infrastructure and engineering projects across sectors including transportation, water, and major civil engineering. They are involved in some of the most prestigious projects worldwide and are committed to delivering sustainable, innovative solutions that shape the future of infrastructure.

Due to continued growth and a strong project pipeline, they are looking to appoint a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team and support the delivery of major infrastructure projects.

Role Overview
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will act as the key commercial lead across projects, managing cost control, contracts, procurement, and financial reporting while maintaining strong relationships with clients and project stakeholders.

You will work closely with project managers, contractors, and internal teams to ensure projects are delivered successfully, while also supporting the development of junior colleagues within the team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the main commercial point of contact on projects and commissions

  • Manage client relationships and maintain strong stakeholder engagement

  • Monitor and control project costs to ensure delivery within budget

  • Review and validate contractor and supplier costs and payment applications

  • Produce regular commercial and financial reports for clients and project teams

  • Support procurement activities including contractor evaluation and appointment

  • Administer contracts and ensure compliance with contractual terms and conditions

  • Manage contract changes including reviewing quotations and negotiating agreements

  • Identify and mitigate commercial risks while supporting value engineering initiatives

  • Mentor and support junior members of the commercial team

Key Requirements

  • BSc in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline

  • Experience undertaking pre and post contract quantity surveying duties

  • Experience working with NEC4, FIDIC or ICHEME contracts

  • Knowledge of methods of measurement such as CESMM4 or MMHW

  • Experience working on civil infrastructure projects (Highways, Water or Rail desirable)

  • Member of, or working towards membership with RICS or an equivalent professional body
