The company are market leaders in the Civil Engineering and Power sector and your role as Senior Quantity Surveyor will joining the Power Commercial team in Derby and you'll deliver complex work that really matters to the business. Key responsibilities for this Senior Quantity Surveyor role:
- Orders information and systematically checks data
- Prepares Activity Schedules, Resource Schedules & analyses tender documents
- Critically appraises, estimates and negotiates the above with 3rd parties
- Reviews complex contract programmes such as Time-Location,
- Assists with the preparation of delay and disruption programmes
- Monitors subcontract activities, measure and respond appropriately
- Analyses the commercial progress and report to senior project staff
- Undertakes constructability analyses using construction programmes
- Prepares procurement programme and helps develop the strategy
- Analyses rates & prices, agreement of variations and or compensation events as required
- Prepares, submits and negotiates claims when required
- Prepares Internal reports, commercial progress and financial reconciliation
Experience required for this Senior Quantity Surveyor role:
- An organised, innovative and creative QS with knowledge and experience of working on projects
- Experience of collating costs and maximising value on a large project or portfolio of projects
- Experience of working as a QS, including the need to support with financial and commercial control within a project
- Experiene of procuring and managing supply chain
- Proactively develop others around you including junior members of the team
Package offered for this Senior Quantity Surveyor role:
- Salary of £55,000-60,000 depending on experience
- Company car
- 25 days holiday plus bank holidays
- Flexible working - this role is open to part time/job share or full time to suit the candidate needs
