Senior Project Manager
A leading data centre developer is looking to appoint a Senior Project Manager to join their Frankfurt team, taking ownership of the successful delivery of large-scale data centre construction projects. This Senior Project Manager will play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule and within budget, while aligning with wider business and operational requirements.
The Senior Project Manager will sit within a specialist delivery team responsible for managing expansion and new build data centre developments across Germany. As Senior Project Manager, you will oversee projects from early planning stages through to handover, coordinating internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure seamless project execution.
This Senior Project Manager position is ideal for someone experienced in managing technically complex data centre or mission-critical construction projects, who enjoys working in fast-paced environments and leading multidisciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities
- The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of construction projects, ensuring scope, programme, cost and quality objectives are achieved while maintaining the highest safety standards.
- You will work closely with internal teams including real estate, procurement, engineering, operations, commercial and sales functions, ensuring alignment across the business throughout each stage of project delivery.
- Externally, the Senior Project Manager will manage relationships with design consultants, cost consultants, contractors and suppliers, ensuring strong collaboration and clear communication across all project stakeholders.
- The Senior Project Manager will also oversee project planning, reporting, budgeting and risk management while ensuring governance and delivery processes are followed throughout the full project lifecycle.
Experience Required
The successful Senior Project Manager will bring experience delivering complex construction projects, ideally within the data centre, mission critical, hyperscale, or large infrastructure environments.
Key experience includes
- Proven experience delivering large-scale construction projects, ideally within the data centre sector, including projects with complex engineering installations and work in live or operational environment
- Strong technical knowledge of construction, mechanical and electrical systems, with experience across civil, structural and architectural construction methods
- Solid understanding of health and safety best practice, alongside strong knowledge of commercial, contractual and procurement processes within construction project delivery
- Experience delivering projects end-to-end from concept through to handover, with the ability to manage scope, cost, programme, quality and risk effectively
- Familiarity with design and build delivery models, as well as strong programme and financial management capabilities
- Experience leading multi-disciplinary teams, coordinating stakeholders across locations and managing client or tenant fit-out works
- Strong reporting, project documentation and organisational skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Project and Word and a methodical approach to project management

Qualifications
