Senior Planner
Location: South Yorkshire
Company: Tier 1 Contractor – Civil Engineering
Salary: £80,000 – £85,000 + car allowance and comprehensive benefits package
The Opportunity..
This is an excellent opportunity to join a leading multidisciplinary contractor (Tier 1) and work on a major civil engineering project in the South Yorkshire region.
As a Senior Planner, you will take a lead role in programme development, management and reporting on a complex scheme. You will work closely with project and commercial teams to ensure robust programme controls are in place and that contractual obligations are fully supported. A key part of this role will involve delay analysis and claims support — identifying programme impacts, preparing entitlement submissions, and working alongside commercial teams on EOT and compensation event matters.
Key Requirements..
- Minimum 10 years’ Planning experience within civil engineering or building.
- Extensive experience using Primavera P6 (essential).
- Strong understanding of NEC contracts (highly desirable).
- Proven experience in delay analysis, EOT assessments and claims support.
- Engineering or technically-led background preferred.
The role offers a degree of flexibility, with time split between the regional office, site and home working. It would suit a self-motivated individual who is comfortable working unsupervised, managing their own time, workload, and diary effectively.
