Our client is one of Ireland’s leading construction companies. They have a rapidly growing portfolio and as they go from strength to strength, they are seeking an experienced Senior Engineer to join their team for a project based in Cork.
In this Senior Engineer role, you will oversee managing the project from start to finish. Your duties will include working with project stakeholders, offering technical knowledge, and guaranteeing the successful completion of a top-notch project. This position demands excellent problem-solving abilities and a thorough grasp of construction principles and methods.
Key Responsibilities for this Senior Engineer position
- Oversee construction projects to ensure they follow plans, budgets, and timelines.
- Offer technical guidance to project teams by interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, and contracts.
- Maintain high-quality standards and compliance with industry regulations throughout construction phases.
- Coordinate with stakeholders like architects and subcontractors for effective communication and coordination.
- Optimize project efficiency by managing resources and resolving technical challenges innovatively.

Key Requirements for this Senior Engineer position
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering/civil engineering or related field required.
- Demonstrated expertise (minimum 7 years) in managing construction projects, ideally in residential, commercial, or industrial domains within the Irish construction industry
- Comprehensive understanding of construction principles, standards, and legalities.
- Adeptness in interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, and contractual papers.
- Effective leadership qualities for team management and motivation.
- Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Superior communication and interpersonal abilities for collaborative work with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong organizational skills for multitasking and task prioritization.
- Proficiency in construction management software and tools.
- Desirable to possess relevant professional certifications and licenses.
Package offered for this Senior Engineer position:
- Starting salary ranging from €65,000 – €75,000+ DOE
