Senior Design Engineer required for a leading rail and infrastructure contractor
Navartis is working with a well-established main contractor delivering major rail and infrastructure projects across the UK. Due to continued growth within their rail business, they are looking to appoint a Senior Design Engineer to join their Engineering Services team based out of Doncaster.
This role offers the opportunity to take a lead position within the design function, providing technical expertise across complex, multi-disciplinary projects while supporting junior engineers and working closely with project, construction and design teams to ensure safe, compliant and buildable solutions.
Experience Required:

Proven experience as a Senior Design Engineer within rail, infrastructure or complex construction projects

Strong technical knowledge of structural or building envelope engineering

Experience with façade systems, roofing, glazing and cladding

Strong understanding of BIM processes and digital design coordination

Degree qualified in Civil, Structural, Architectural or Building Services Engineering (or equivalent)

Ability to lead design activities and provide technical guidance to junior engineers

Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Duties Include:

Leading the development of detailed engineering designs, specifications and technical solutions

Reviewing and validating design inputs from engineers, consultants and subcontractors

Providing technical support to project teams to resolve complex design and constructability challenges

Producing technical reports, calculations and supporting documentation

Attending design meetings and workshops, providing technical input and leadership

Ensuring design solutions align with BIM and digital delivery requirements

Monitoring design deliverables to ensure programme, quality and compliance standards are met

Supporting continuous improvement, quality assurance and engineering best practice

Mentoring and supporting junior engineers and design staff
Package & Benefits:

Salary £62,000 – £72,000 depending on experience
