My client are a specialist multi-discipline tier 1 contractor, working nationwide and known for specialist rope access and rail services.
The Role:
As a Quantity Surveyor/ Commercial Manager, you will be responsible for the end-to-end commercial process for the Doncaster office:
- Subcontract procurement via tenders and preparing and completing subcontract documentation.
- Work closely with engineering, commercial and management teams.
- Manage subcontractors - include placing orders, assessing applications, preparing payment notices, monthly liabilities and accruals
- Preparing monthly CVR's for internal meetings
- Valuing work instructions
- Pricing works
- Effective management of accurate contract compliant documentation.
- Manage and maintain our relationships with clients and subcontractors
- Submission of variations and early warnings
- Input into budgets, forecasting and monthly reconciliations
- Additional administration duties, analysis, reporting and projects as required
Requirements
- Quantity Surveying degree desirable / certification.
- Minimum of 7 years QS experience.
- Excellent proficiency of Microsoft Office including advanced excel
- Sound knowledge of NEC / Network Rail Contracts
- Highly organised, accuracy and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proactive, strategic and a multitasker
- Integrity to handle confidential information
