Quantity Surveyor

This is a great opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor to join a main contractor that provide engineering, design, property, town planning, construction and project management services.

In your role as Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for assisting in the tender/bid process for new work packages across new and existing clients and building effective relationships with key stakeholders, ensuring quantity surveying objectives are completed within timescales and parameters dictated by internal & client KPI’s

This company work on major telecommunications infrastructure projects for some of the industry's biggest names.

 

Key responsibilities for this Quantity Surveyor role:

  • Preparation of tender packages, enquiries, analysis, negotiation, scope of works and levelling activities.
  • Evaluate tenders and produce tender recommendations in accordance with NJCC codes of tendering
  • Negotiate valuations & final accounts across a range of activities for different projects
  • Conduct measurements and calculations either on site or from drawings resulting in accurate cost evaluations and associated reports
  • Provide advice and expertise on compensation events and change requests.
  • Preparation of high quality, accurate reports for both internal & external distribution as required

Experience required for this Quantity Surveyor role:

  • Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or related discipline
  • Strong working knowledge of contract documents, construction practices and techniques
  • Experience within the UK Telecommunications industry
  • Ability to analyse data/information, interpret & report on results or findings
  • Strong working knowledge of contract documents, construction practices & techniques
  • Ability to interpret & make calculations based on drawings
  • Full UK Driving Licence with the ability to travel to sites, client meetings and planning meetings as required

  • £35,000 - £45,000 p/a dependent on experience
