We’re representing a global construction consultancy that partners with world-leading clients to deliver large-scale, technically complex projects across Europe. Our client is currently seeking an experienced Quality Inspector (Electrical) to join their team on a major hyperscale data centre development.

The Role

As a Quality Inspector (Electrical), you’ll play a key role in ensuring that all electrical construction activities meet design specifications, regulatory standards, and client expectations. You’ll be involved in day-to-day inspections, quality assurance reviews, and collaboration with contractors, consultants, and project teams to ensure that installations are executed to the highest possible standard.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular inspections of electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, earthing, fire alarm, security, and ICT installations.

  • Carry out inspections of Long Lead Equipment (LLE) and Owner Furnished Contractor Installed (OFCI) mechanical and electrical systems to verify compliance with design and specification.

  • Ensure all electrical works adhere to approved drawings, technical specifications, and relevant international standards (e.g. IEC, IEEE, local codes).

  • Raise, track, and close out non-conformance reports (NCRs) in a timely and professional manner.

  • Participate in quality audits and assist during internal and external inspection processes.

  • Review and verify contractor Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), method statements, and quality records.

  • Work collaboratively with site teams, contractors, and client representatives to identify and resolve quality issues.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of all inspections, test results, and communications.

  • Support the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives within the project’s quality management system.

About You

We’re looking for a Quality Inspector (Electrical) who combines technical expertise with a practical, hands-on approach to quality assurance and inspection.

You’ll bring:

  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in electrical inspection or quality control within the construction industry.

  • Experience on large-scale construction projects within Data Centre environments

  • Strong understanding of electrical systems, installation methods, and testing procedures.

  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 quality management systems.

  • Applied knowledge of LLE and OFCI installations in large construction environments.

  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to interpret complex technical drawings and specifications.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with multidisciplinary teams.

  • A technical qualification in Electrical Engineering or Building Services (degree, diploma, or equivalent).
