Job Title: Project Manager
Location: North East England
Day rate: £500.00 - £550.00 a day (dependent on experience) - outside IR35
Contract: 6 months initial contract

A fantastic opportunity for an experienced Project Manager has arisen with a Principal Contractor to manage electrical packages on HV cabling and substation projects.

Key responsibilities for this Project Manager role:
- Ensure the team maintain accurate project records
- Prepare internal reports and provide regular information to be included in client progress report
- Responsible for the safety and welfare of the general public, employees and supply chain
- Log and escalate any issues that cannot be resolved at delegated level of authority
- Assist the procurement and commercial team
- Manage subcontractors and suppliers, including monitoring attendance and progress, providing direct instruction and support as necessary, such that contractual arrangements are achieved
- Identify at the earliest opportunity any delays that are impacting the programme so that the appropriate notices can be raised (EWNs and CENs)
- Ensure that expenditure is in line with the budget and that resources are utilised efficiently to ensure cost control.
Experience / qualifications required for this role:
- M&E background
- HV experience
- 5+ years' experience operating within the transmission and distribution networks.
