We are working with a leading general contractor out of the GTA who is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager with expertise in industrial construction. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of industrial construction projects, ensuring successful project delivery within budget, timeline, and quality constraints. As a project manager, you must the communication and organization skills to coordinate and collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders, including engineers, contractors, vendors, and clients.
Responsibilities:
Project Planning and Execution:
Develop and implement comprehensive project plans, including scope, budget, schedule, and resource allocation.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams to define project objectives, deliverables, and success criteria.
Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and proactively implement corrective actions to ensure project goals are met.
Resource Management:
Collaborate with various teams to identify and allocate resources required for project execution, including personnel, equipment, and materials.
Conduct regular resource assessments to optimize productivity and efficiency throughout the project lifecycle.
Foster effective communication channels between team members, ensuring clear roles and responsibilities are established and understood.
Quality Control and Safety:
Implement and enforce rigorous quality control procedures to ensure adherence to project specifications, codes, and industry standards.
Develop and maintain a robust safety culture, promoting and monitoring adherence to safety regulations and best practices.
Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify and address potential safety hazards or quality issues.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. A master's degree is a plus.
Proven experience as a Project Manager in industrial construction, preferably overseeing large-scale projects.
Strong knowledge of industrial construction processes, techniques, and regulations.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships.
Proficient in project management software and tools for planning, scheduling, and reporting.
Solid understanding of budgeting, cost control, and financial analysis.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
PMP (Project Management Professional) certification is desirable.
Familiarity with relevant industry standards and best practices.
