ICI Project Manager
Position Overview:
Our client, an established general contractor, is seeking a skilled and experienced Project Manager to oversee and manage construction projects throughout the Simcoe region. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful completion of construction projects within budget and on schedule. Your strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills will be crucial in coordinating various teams, managing resources, and maintaining effective relationships with clients, contractors, and stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
Project Planning and Execution:
-Coordinate and oversee the entire construction process, from project initiation to completion, ensuring adherence to plans and specifications.
-Monitor progress, resolve issues, and make necessary adjustments to keep the project on track.
-Conduct regular site visits to ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and project specifications.
Resource and Team Management:
-Select and manage subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors, ensuring their performance meets project requirements.
-Lead and coordinate construction teams, including architects, engineers, contractors, and other personnel.
-Assign tasks, provide guidance, and monitor performance to ensure efficient resource utilization and productivity.
-Foster a collaborative and positive work environment, promoting teamwork and effective communication among project team members.
Client and Stakeholder Management:
-Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring their satisfaction with project progress and outcomes.
-Communicate regularly with clients and stakeholders, providing updates, addressing concerns, and managing expectations.
-Collaborate with architects, engineers, and consultants to address design and technical issues, ensuring alignment with client requirements.
Documentation and Reporting:
-Prepare and maintain project documentation, including progress reports, financial records, and change orders.
-Generate comprehensive reports for management and stakeholders, summarizing project status, risks, and recommended actions.
-Ensure compliance with all relevant legal, regulatory, and contractual obligations, including permits and licenses.
Requirements:
-Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (preferred) or equivalent work experience.
-Proven experience as a Construction Project Manager, overseeing commercial or residential construction projects.
-Strong knowledge of construction methods, codes, regulations, and safety practices.
-Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
-Exceptional leadership and team management abilities.
-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
-Proficiency in project management software and tools.
-Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
-Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites as required.
