Project Engineering manager

Your tasks:

Project related tasks may include:

Requirement analysis and allocation (for all contractual requirements) up to global system acceptance by Customer (including T&C and certification / homologation).
Ensuring the management of configuration (as-designed, as-built, as-installed including retrofit management).
Ensuring integration of the various sub-systems and coordinating system activities until project final acceptance.
Other tasks may include:

Recording and structuring customer needs and developing an offer/ implementation strategy.
Participation and validation of the solution strategy in important tenders and projects.
Contribute to the development of a solution roadmap.
Management of the Project Deployment Process for Germany Wayside.
Definition and further development of processes and working models.
Manage the technical contractual scope in customer projects of DB AG.
Interface partner of the customer for the technical clarification of questions in the field of software and hardware for customer systems.
Detailed coordination / coordination of planning with customers / internal project planning departments / external suppliers.
Lead the project solution deployment and ensure operational coordination of all project activities related to System deployment and integration.
Coordinate the engineering team and manage interfaces.
Management of the procurement and purchasing process in customer projects.
Participation in offers for new plants and conversions.
Organization of the creation and delivery of the project documentation.
Creation and verification, but validation of project documentation.
Support for validation, assessors, authorities, acceptance testers and operators.

Your Qualifications:

Completed university studies (engineering, computer science, electrical engineering, railway engineering etc.) or technician training with several years of professional experience.
Minimum 5 years of proven experience.
Professional experience in the field of project management with engineering background including project deployment and full lifecycle view until commissioning.
Cost and planning control experience in engineering scope.
Expertise in the field of systems engineering, track field installations.
Experience in the planning and construction of DB AG plants is an advantage.
Knowledge of the relevant specifications, rules and standards for interlocking systems in Germany is an advantage.
High level of commitment and resilience as well as independent working methods.
Team and communication skills.
Very good knowledge of MS Office and similar standard applications.
Native German language skills in spoken and written.
Good command of spoken and written English.
