Job Title: Principal Engineer

Location: Chelsea, London

The successful individual will be supervising a team of Electrical Engineers in the following capacity.

Key Responsibilities of the Principle Engineer:
• Ensure all PPM is carried out in accordance with the maintenance specification and documented in real time using the PDA to log start/wait/stop completion.
• Ensure that all relevant paperwork is completed regarding PPM, reactive and breakdown works.
• Update customers CAFM system in real time with start/wait/stop completion times.
• Ensure reactive tasks throughout the sites are completed.
• Be proactive in highlighting areas where improvements can be made.
• Identify and record all plant failures using quotation forms and issue to line manager.
• Ensure plant faults and defects are swiftly remedied to maintain plant in serviceable order.
• Undertake electrical testing & inspection of electrical systems.
• Act as point of contact to manage electrical shutdowns, acting as AP for site.
• Attend site in response to breakdowns or failures of the equipment outside of normal working hours. Take part in the on-call rota.
• Carry out regular site audits.
• Ensue all engineers PPE is up to date and safe.
• Ensure toolbox talks are carried out.

Experience required for this Principle Engineer role:
• Electrical City & Guilds or equivalent in a relevant engineering discipline.
• Electrical inspection 2391 desirable & BS7671 18th Edition desirable.
• Ability to read electrical drawings.
• Experience in buildings services (M&E).
• 5 years post qualification experience.
• Happy to be on-site 5 days a week in London.

• Up to £51,000 base salary
