Motorway Technology Supervisor
The role
As Motorway Technology Supervisor you will be responsible for:
- To oversee all installation works associated with the technology aspects of large motorway systems upgrading works
- To direct teams covering the installation communications cabling, technology equipment, electronic systems components and superstructure work from construction to commissioning
- To ensure that all site works are conducted in a safe manner
- To manage the production of documentation in respect of the H&S file, handover documentation and other paperwork required by the contract
- To deal with technology works related problems to ensure that they do not impact the overall project
- To ensure that work is completed safely, on time and to budget, and to the required quality
- To manage the Technology elements of the project
The ideal applicant will have experience of:
- Installation and Construction of Motorway Communications systems
- Knowledge of Highways England Standards, Specifications, Systems & Equipment
- Working in a high speed motorway environment
- Assisting with programme production
- Electrical Qualification / Experience (preferred)
- Used to working to a programme and able to plan / schedule working activities
Key Competencies
- CSCS Gold or Black Card
- High level of commitment and reliability
- Good organisational skills
- Able to work on own initiative
- Computer literate to include Email, Word, Excel and Project (preferred)
- Capable of understanding the project process and how individual elements work together
- Able to work with Operatives and Supply Chain
