Intermediate Terrestrial Ecologist Descipriton:
Our client is seeking an intermediate terrestrial ecologist to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting ecological surveys, assessing impacts of development projects, and providing recommendations on how to mitigate impacts on natural ecosystems. They will work closely with other professionals, including biologists, planners, and engineers, to provide comprehensive solutions.
Intermeidate Terrestrial Ecologist Responsibilities:
- Conduct ecological surveys, including flora and fauna inventories, habitat assessments, and wetland delineations
- Assess impacts of development projects on natural ecosystems and provide recommendations on how to mitigate impacts
- Develop and implement mitigation plans, including habitat restoration and creation projects
- Prepare technical reports, proposals, and other project-related documents
- Provide technical support to clients and other professionals
- Collaborate with other professionals to provide comprehensive solutions to clients
- Keep up-to-date with industry developments and advancements in ecological science
Intermediate Terrestrial Ecologist Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or master's degree in ecology, biology, or a related field
- 5+ years of relevant work experience
- Strong field skills, including ecological survey techniques, GPS, and mapping
- Experience in impact assessment, mitigation planning, and technical report writing
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Commitment to safety and regulatory compliance
