Intermediate Quantity Surveyor

We are currently in search of a Intermeidate Quantity Surveyor with a minimum of 3 years experience  to become a valuable addition to our client's commercial team. This role involves actively participating in both ongoing and upcoming projects within the Cork region throughout the year 2024. Our client boasts a strong portfolio covering a wide range of sectors, including Residential, Office & Commercial, Hotel & Leisure, Industrial, Healthcare & Pharma, Data Centres, Retail, Education, and Fit-Out.

Responsibilites for this Intermediate Quantity Surveyor Role

  • Creating and assessing project budgets, estimates, and cost plans
  • Analyzing costs and comparing them to industry benchmarks
  • Negotiating contracts and pricing with vendors and suppliers
  • Drafting tender documentation and assessing bids Monitoring expenditures and producing progress reports
  • Identifying potential areas for cost savings
  • Collaborating with stakeholders, such as project team members and clients
  • Ensuring adherence to applicable regulations and standard

Requirments for this Intermediate Quantity Surveyor Role

  • Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, or related field
  • A minimum of three years' experience in Quantity Surveying, preferably in commercial or residential projects
  • Robust analytical, negotiation, and communication skills
  • Demonstrated flexibility and a knack for effective negotiation
  • Capability to adapt, multitask, and work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
  • Flexible with a proven ability to prioritize tasks efficiently
  • Adept at working under pressure and meeting strict deadlines Positive attitude and a keenness for continuous learning
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving aptitude, capable of interpreting intricate data and making informed decisions
  • Exceptional negotiation and communication abilities, fostering strong relationships with stakeholders
  • Meticulous attention to detail, accuracy, and a proactive approach to managing project finances
  • Eligibility to work in Ireland Possession of a full EU driving license
