The Role
Navartis are currently working with rapidly expanding engineering company who are looking to add a HVAC Engineer into their current team based in Derby.
This role becomes available at an exciting time for the company – joining their busy overhaul division on a permanent basis. This position is situated within the rail sector, previous experience in this sector being advantageous.
Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Conducting routine maintenance and fault finding on rail HVAC units
- Stripping/rewiring of electrical components, as well as performing testing
- Perform strip down and repair of HVAC and other related aspects
- Operate HVAC and electrical testing equipment
- Ensure full in-house reporting is performed, correctly quoted and maintained
- Adhere to set health & safety standards
The ideal candidate:
- Experience working within a similar background/environment
- Flexible work approach – ability to work pro-actively on a variety of tasks, troubleshoot different issues while maintaining high standards
- Detail orientated – able to effectively plan workloads, perform efficient prioritizing of tasks
- Experience within HVAC units/compressors - electrical knowledge such as fault finding, exchanging and testing of components
- Ability to work both as part of a team and individually – providing knowledge and support where required
