Head of Health & Safety

A rapidly expanding and innovative company who provide a broad range of specialist services to  the UK's leading main contractors and utility companies within the water, oil & gas industries is looking to take on a Head of Health & Safety to take the lead on all Health, Safety, Environmental and  Quality throughout the business.
The role will involve providing strategic support on HSE issues, leading investigations, and driving a culture of safety and compliance across diverse construction projects

Responsibilities for the Head of Health & Safety will include:

-    Implementing health and safety policies and procedures on site, ensuring compliance and keeping updated with key changes to legislation.
-    Visiting the site and engaging with key stakeholders, ensuring responsibilities are clear and answering technical Health and Safety-related enquiries
-    Conducting audits, inspections, and accident investigations. Constantly seeking areas for improvement and development in health and safety performance
-    Engaging with the client and other external stakeholders, acting as a key point of contact

The successful Head of Health & Safety will have:

-    Experience in a Senior Health & Safety management role, ideally within the civil engineering or construction industry
-    Experience managing incidents & investigations 
-    Familiarity with ISO 45001, 9001, 140001 Systems 
-    NEBOSH Diploma ideally or Hold a NEBOSH General certificate be working towards Diploma  
-    Have good communication skills with the ability to communicate with a broad range of stakeholders
-    Ideally Chartered Member of IOSH or working towards

Salary: Between  £65,000 - £80,000 dependant on level of experience plus car and package
