About the Role
As a Graduate Power Systems Engineer you will support the delivery of design and analysis projects across medium and high-voltage networks. You'll use industry-recognised tools to assist with power system studies, earthing and lightning protection design, and renewable integration projects. This role offers excellent exposure to live projects, client meetings and site work, while providing structured support to grow your technical and professional skills.

The key requirements for this Graduate Power Systems Engineer role are:
- Assist in carrying out power system studies using DIgSILENT, ETAP or similar software
- Support earthing and lightning protection design, including in-field testing and analysis
- Prepare technical reports, drawings and calculations under supervision
- Collaborate with senior engineers and multidisciplinary teams on design solutions
- Contribute to compliance assessments for renewable energy projects including PV, wind and BESS
- Attend client meetings and provide technical input with support from the team
- Support marketing and business development activities to raise the profile of the team

Experience required for this Graduate Power Systems Engineer role are:
- BEng or MEng in Electrical or Power Systems Engineering (or related discipline)
- Strong academic background with modules in power systems, electrical networks or renewable energy
- Interest in pursuing IET or similar chartership routes
- Good IT and analytical skills with exposure to relevant design software advantageous
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to manage tasks across multiple projects with support

Desirable knowledge, skills and experience for this Graduate Power Systems Engineer role are:
- Experience with software such as DIgSILENT, ETAP, XGSLab or CDEGS (desirable but not essential)
- Awareness of UK Grid Code or G99 requirements
- Placement or internship experience in a power, energy or consultancy environment
