Freelance Gas Supervisors Needed

I have several clients who are currently seeking experienced Freelance Gas Supervisors to support their civil engineering teams in the installation, maintenance, and supervision of low and medium pressure gas infrastructure.

The successful candidates will hold a valid Competent Person (CP) Certificate and demonstrate proven experience in gas distribution works, ensuring all operations are carried out safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with SGN standards.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate gas installation and maintenance works on low and medium pressure networks.
Ensure compliance with SHEA Gas, NCO(G), and SCO procedures.
Oversee teams of operatives, ensuring safe systems of work and adherence to project specifications.
Conduct site inspections, risk assessments, and quality checks.
Liaise with project managers, engineers, and client representatives.
Maintain accurate site records, permits, and documentation.

Essential Qualifications & Experience

Valid Competent Person (CP) Certificate for Low and Medium Pressure gas networks.
SHEA Gas (Safety, Health & Environmental Awareness) card.
Experience supervising civil engineering or utility infrastructure projects involving gas works.
Strong understanding of HSE and SGN safety requirements.

Full UK driving licence and flexibility to work across multiple sites.
