Design Project Manager
This is a great opportunity for an experienced Design Project Manager to join a principal contractor and work on a multitude of projects within the rail industry.
The company is an award-winning main contractor who are market leaders designing and delivering key infrastructure projects to blue chip clients across the UK. Your role as Design Project Manager will be responsible for reviewing design and creating construction schedules that best meet the requirements of the client.
This role would be ideal for those with an Engineering / Construction background within the rail sector. My client would love to hear from backgrounds such as but not limited to; Design Managers; Engineering Managesr; CEMs; Contracts Managers; Project Managers

Key responsibilities for this Design Project Manager role:
- Reviewing, designing and consulting on a multitude of high value rail projects
- Scoping out future projects
- Creating construction schedules and programmes based on the most effective design
- Interfacing with client to advise on optimum project delivery methods
- Managing logistics including planning applications, possessions, blockades etc
Experience required for this Design Project Manager role:
- Strong understanding of construction schedules, programming and project feasibility from inception to delivery
- Ability to review, check and consult on project designs is a must
- Previous construction/engineering experience in rail. Additionally experience in civils/groundworks is a distinct advantage
- Strong communication skills and previous experience in a client facing roles
- Ideally come from a engineering background with a HNC / HND / Relevant degree
- Project management and project interface experience is advantageous
Package offered for this Design Project Manager role:
- Up to £620 day rate
- Remote working is accepted with flexibility on working hours
