The Design Coordinator Role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Design Coordinator to join a well-established main contractor delivering a wide range of high-quality projects across the Midlands.
Working closely with the Design Manager, you'll play a key role in the coordination and delivery of design information throughout all phases of construction - from pre-construction through to client handover. This is a hybrid role, with a typical split of office, site and remote working.
You'll be responsible for liaising with consultants, subcontractors, internal teams and the client, ensuring design packages are delivered on time and in line with project requirements.
To be considered for the Design Coordinator position:
- Previous experience in a Design Coordinator or design-focused role within the construction industry
- Strong understanding of pre-construction and live project design coordination
- A construction/design-related qualification (achieved or in progress) is preferred
- Ability to manage consultants, subcontractors and internal stakeholders
- Experience using Viewpoint 4Projects (or similar CDE platforms) beneficial
- Knowledge of environmental standards (e.g. BREEAM, Passivhaus), Building Regulations and CDM compliance
