Contractors Engineering Manager (CEM)

Role Summary
A Contractors Engineering Manager is required to oversee engineering assurance for drainage works involving the installation of a temporary pressurised main through an existing culvert beneath a live railway. The role will ensure all engineering activities, temporary works, and installation methods meet the required technical standards, assurance processes, and safety expectations for working around critical infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities

Lead engineering assurance for all works associated with the culvert crossing

Review and approve temporary works, design information, and method statements

Ensure compliance with relevant engineering standards and assurance procedures

Coordinate with internal teams, designers, and external engineering stakeholders

Provide oversight during installation and support technical close‑out documentation
Candidate Requirements

Proven experience as a CEM or senior engineering manager on complex civil engineering projects

Strong understanding of engineering assurance, temporary works, and safety‑critical environments

Ability to complete competence forms and provide evidence of previous project experience

Background in drainage, civils, utilities, or infrastructure interfaces preferred
