Construction Manager
Summary
A successful railway infrastructure contractor specialising in track installation & signalling is looking to hire an experienced Construction Manager / Site Manager in the south of England
Seeking candidates based in the Essex & Surrounding area and willing to travel to sites as required.
Duties include
- Reviewing the project in-depth to schedule deliverables and estimate costs
- Overseeing all onsite and offsite constructions to monitor compliance with building and safety regulations
- Coordinating and supervising subcontractors, ensuring adherence to project plans and specifications.
- Manage project schedules, resources, and budgets
- Maintain effective communication with stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and project team members.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment.
- Document project progress, maintain accurate records, and prepare regular reports for management.
Requirements:
- At least 5 years or site / construction management experience on Railway Engineering projects
- Permanent way project expereince desirable.
- HND/ HNC minimum in Civil Engineering or relevent subject,
- Experience working on NEC contracts
- Excellent communication and people management skills
- Commercial awareness of cost monitoring and cost value reconciliation
- SMSTS
- Railway Safety Training (PTS)
Salary: £55,000 - £63,000 negotiable dependant on level of experience plus package including
- Company Vehicle / Car allowance.
