About the Role
This is a key leadership position for an experienced and commercially minded Commercial Manager to take full responsibility for the commercial function of the business. Predominantly office-based, you will oversee the commercial performance of all live projects, manage monthly reporting, ensure strong cost control and safeguard contractual compliance.
You will be the commercial lead for the business, providing strategic input, reviewing financial performance and supporting project teams to ensure profitable delivery across multiple schemes. This is a highly autonomous role offering long-term stability and influence within a growing organisation.
Key Requirements

Leading the commercial function across all groundworks and civils projects.

Taking full ownership of monthly commercial and financial reporting.

Overseeing procurement, cost control, valuations and final accounts.

Ensuring robust contract administration and risk management.

Supporting project teams with commercial advice and strategic direction.

Managing subcontract negotiations and ensuring commercial compliance.

Acting as the senior commercial representative across the business.
Experience Required
-
Proven experience in a Commercial Manager or Senior Quantity Surveyor role.

Strong background in groundworks, civils or similar construction disciplines.

Excellent financial understanding with the ability to manage commercial performance.

Strong contract knowledge and experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.

Confident leading commercial processes, reporting cycles and commercial strategy.
Desirable Knowledge / Skills

Experience within modular or specialist subcontracting.

Strong communication skills with the ability to influence internal and external stakeholders.
