Role Information
A leading player in the civil engineering and infrastructure sector is looking to hire a ''boots on the ground''
Health & Safety Advisor to work on a major highways junction improvement project at the M3 Junction 9 based in Hook, Hampshire.
This would suit a an ex Supervisor/Foreman or similar who has worked in heavy civils and has experience on the ground engaging with the supply chain in Piling, Concrete structures, top-down concrete tunnels, existing Bridge structure refurbs, heavy earth works, road construction and similar.
You will be responsible for facilitating compliance with legislative, corporate and other requirements in relation to Health and Safety as well as assisting in the co-ordination of all activities related to the implementation, development and maintenance of the Safety Management Systems (SMS) for the business.
Health & Safety Advisor Specification
3+ years experience site health and safety experience in construction or civil engineering
- Need to have demonstrable ''Boots on the ground'' Construction experience
- NEBOSH Level 3 Certificate in Construction Safety and Health or equivalent.
- CSCS cardholder
- An understanding of the requirements of BS OHSAS 45001:2018
- A working knowledge of health & safety legislation
- Good interpersonal skills with the ability to guide and educate/train at all levels
- Self-confidence to build strong working relationships internally and externally.
- Good presentation, written, analytical and IT skills.
Salary between: £50,000 - £55,000 per annum dependant on experience plus car / allowance and package
