Civil Engineer

Our client, a well known European Leader in the Rail sector, looking for a Civil Engineer/Construction Technician or as a Construction Manager based out of Munich 

  • Coordination and monitoring of subcontractors on the construction site
  • Ensuring that construction activities comply with the construction plan
  • Compliance with legal regulations (VOB, VV-Bau, VV-Bau STE) and quality assurance
  • On-site contact person for project stakeholders, especially for the client's construction supervision. Verification of subcontractors' measurements.
  • As a dedicated construction manager, you are responsible for ensuring the smooth execution of the construction projects assigned to you and also take on the technical leadership on the construction site.
  • You coordinate and monitor subcontractor services and liaise with relevant stakeholders (e.g., clients, planners, and authorities) during the preparation and execution of construction projects.
  • To optimally manage your construction projects, you conduct performance-, schedule- and quality-oriented construction-related reporting and use calculation and cost accounting proactively and consistently.
  • Your tasks also include identifying and creating supplementary offers and negotiating them with the client.
  • You will be responsible for the professional management of the employees on the construction site and ensure the best possible conditions so that your team can perform their work optimally (e.g. creating and checking time sheets, measures to ensure compliance with occupational safety regulations).

Technical Skills, Qualifications and Professional Experience

  • Completed studies in civil engineering (FH/TH/TU) or comparable technical training / several years of practical professional experience
  • Professional experience in the field of construction supervision / construction management
  • Independent and structured work style
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Good organization/time management
  • Willingness to travel
  • Driving licence class B
  • Willingness to undertake regular business trips using the company car provided to you, which can also be used privately.
