Assistant Quantity Surveyor
Location: Midlands (Various Project Sites)
About the Role:
We are representing a leading main contractor renowned for delivering high-quality projects across the Midlands. With a diverse portfolio encompassing sectors such as education, healthcare, commercial, and mixed-use developments, they are seeking an enthusiastic Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their dynamic team
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation and management of project budgets and cost plans.
- Support in the procurement process, including tender analysis and contract preparation.
- Monitor project progress and provide regular cost reports to senior management.
- Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure effective communication and project delivery.
- Contribute to value engineering and cost-saving initiatives.
Requirements:
- Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
- 6 months to 3 years of experience in a Quantity Surveying role, preferably within a main contracting environment.
- Familiarity with JCT and NEC forms of contract.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Valid UK driving license.
