I have an exciting opportunity for a Wireman/Fitter to join a growing electrical specialist company, offering bespoke electrical engineering solutions across the UK to the rail electrification and electrical supply industry.
This is a permanent role, which would involve working away on various projects, and being based form one of their offices in either Crewe or York.

Key responsibilities for this Wireman role:
- Installation of a variety of new electrification equipment as required
- Modify installations as required
- Install conduit/trunking (cable containment as required)
- Run/Install/Gland/Terminate a variety of cabling.
- Fit out electrical panels in line with General Arrangement/Layout diagrams
- Complete wiring checks and drawing mark ups
- Test installation in accordance with BS2391 (subject to competence)
Experience required for this Wireman role:
- Proven experience of working with electrification equipment
- Experience of installing and modifying installations
- Sound knowledge and experience of completing wiring checks and drawing mark ups
- HNC/HND - Electrical
- 18th Edition
- Site experience needed
Package offered for this Wireman role:
- Overtime rates: basic + 20% in the week and basic + 50% during weekends.
- Normal working week is 36 hours, however, site staff generally work 10 hr days.
- Generally site staff work 12 days in every 14 and are away from home - all hotels and food are paid for.
- Company Pension - company contribute 4%.
- Life Policy - 4 x salary - paid for by the company
- 33 days annual leave - including Bank Holidays.
- Salary circa £30,000 - £35,000
