I have an exciting opportunity for a Technician (HV & LV) to join a growing electrical specialist company, offering bespoke electrical engineering solutions across the UK to the rail electrification and electrical supply industry.
This is a permanent role, which would involve working away on various projects, and being based form one of their offices in either Crewe or York. This role reports into the Commissioning Manager and are normally resident at side as the first line of control of the commissioning work.

Key responsibilities for this Technician role:
- Installation, modification and maintenance of LV and HV equipment, including HV & LV switchgear, transformers and protection systems.
- Accepting work as compete and ready for test from the construction staff.
- Undertake HV level A/B duties as required.
- Assist in Section Proving activities as required.
- Undertake testing to ensure installation is in accordance with the design.
- Record any design or As Built Changes as a direct consequence of commissioning tests.
- Maintain inspection and test plans and associated check sheets and ensure satisfactory completion by contractors and employed staff.
Experience required for this Technician role:
- An electrically bias background with experience with HV & LV.
- Experience and working knowledge of switchgear, transformers and protection services.
- HNC in Electrical field
- Experience and working knowledge of testing and commissioning.
Package offered for this Technician role:
- Salary circa £40,000
