Sr. Site Assessment and Remediation Leader

The company is currently looking for a Senior Site Assessment and Remediation Leader to join their growing office in the GTA. You will work alongside and collaborating with the managers of the Ecological Services and Human Health and Ecological Risk Assessment practice areas

Responsibilities:


- Assisting in the development and implementation of business development and growth strategies for the Site Assessment & Remediation practice area specifically, and the Environmental Services service line overall;
- Developing and maintaining technical procedures, forms, templates, and similar resources in accordance with best industry practices and regulatory requirements for the completion of excess soil management, environmental site assessment, and environmental remediation work programs (the Site Assessment & Remediation practice area);
- Overseeing internal audits/evaluations of excess soil management, environmental site assessment, and environmental remediation practice;
- Serving as an internal technical and regulatory resource for company staff working in the Site Assessment & Remediation practice area;
- Identifying tools, equipment, and other resources required to optimize productivity with the Site Assessment & Remediation practice area;
- Establishing and managing the technical training program for company staff working in the Site Assessment & Remediation practice area; and,.
- Overseeing the development of scopes of work and the preparation and submission of proposals;
- Overseeing the delivery of complex technical projects, including the review of internal work programs, identifying and allocating resources, planning, delegating and scheduling of project tasks, and managing budgets and deliverables;

Requirements:


- Prior recognition as a "Qualified Person", per Section 5 of O. Reg. 153/04, by the Ontario Ministry of the Environment, Conservation and Parks;
- A minimum of fifteen years of progressive experience in completing excess soil management, environmental site assessment, environmental remediation, and similar work programs;
- A thorough understanding of Ontario regulations and standards applicable to site assessment and remediation work programs, including O. Reg. 153/04, O. Reg. 406/19, Reg. 903, and CSA and ASTM Standards;
- Superior technical knowledge and project management skills;
- A proven track record in managing/completing complex excess soil management, environmental site assessment, and environmental remediation projects;
