Our client is a general contractor with a national profile. They specialize in large scale commercial and institutional projects. Due to continued growth, they are looking to identify an experienced Sr. Estimator to join the team.
Responsibilities:
-Prepare bids and proposals from start to finish
-Complete project take-offs for a portfolio of commercial and institutional renovations, additions, new builds and retrofit projects
-Utilizing software, solicit subcontractors for quotations and/or delegate these responsibilities
-Liaising with clients and subcontractors to put together bid packages
-Value engineering to meet client budget requirements
-Build and maintain relationships with sub-contractors, clients, architects and consultants
-Work with Jr. Estimating staff to mentor and encourage growth
Qualifications:
-5+ years or more experience in estimating multi-million dollar ICI projects
-A University Degree/Technology Diploma in Architectural Engineering/Construction Management/Estimating
-Excellent English written and verbal communication, negotiation, and technical abilities
